Auto Repair in Rosedale, MD
Rosedale is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, with a population of about 20,000 and a total area of 7.1 square miles. It’s located northeast of Downtown Baltimore along I-95, bordering the town of Essex and the head of the Back River that leads out to the Atlantic.
The first settlers of the 1700s developed Rosedale as a farming community, and agriculture remained Rosedale’s focus until the explosion of suburban development that began after World War II. The historic Philadelphia Road runs right through Rosedale, now known as Maryland Route 7. George Washington traveled along this route to New York in 1789 for his inauguration as the first U.S. president.
Many German and Polish immigrants settled in and around Rosedale throughout the 19th century. The first school in town was constructed at the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Philadelphia Road— a wooden building with only two rooms. By 1950 this same structure had become a fire house. Rosedale has continued to grow as a residential suburb from the 1950s on up to today.
